PRSA Memphis COVID-19 Update

    Dear PRSA Members and Colleagues,

We hope this email finds you and your families safe and healthy as we navigate this unprecedented global health crisis. As PR and Communications professionals, we are used to overcoming challenges and helping to find solutions for our businesses and clients, but this is a situation unlike any we have encountered before.

Earlier this month, we felt it necessary to cancel our PRSA Memphis luncheon out of an abundance of caution. Currently, with the existing restrictions on group events, we are also canceling all in-person events until Shelby County and health agencies deem it is safe to do so. Please be on the lookout for details of virtual meetings and webinars, which we are organizing now. If you have ideas or suggestions for virtual gatherings or professional development, please share them with us.

We have also created a Facebook Group for the PRSA Memphis PRSA Community to connect and to share best practices and resources during this time.

Both PRSA and PRSA Memphis have resources available for members. Be sure to take advantage of the many excellent webinars PRSA is currently offering, including several recent Crisis Communications Resources. For many of us, this temporary slowdown has given us the time to schedule workshops and webinars that we might not have time for normally.

Your PRSA membership comes with a variety of benefits, from webinars to community conversations. Be sure you are maximizing your national benefits as well as your local Memphis chapter resources.

Here are some ways to stay updated on COVID-19 and its impact on Memphis and Memphis businesses:
