The Memphis Medical District Collaborative has revitalized a neighborhood through community building and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders. A community-development organization, the Memphis Medical District Collaborative focuses on strengthening the communities between and around eight major medical, educational, and research anchor institutions.

As president of the MMDC, Tommy Pacello, an attorney and city planner, will share how the MMDC communicated its message through social media, events, influencers and key partners.

Previously, Pacello served as a member of Innovate Memphis, a non-profit funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies to develop and implement data driven strategies to urban challenges. In 2015, he was named one of the top 40 Real Estate Professionals under the age of 40 by the Urban Land Institute. Pacello is also the chair for the Memphis Chapter of the Urban Land Institute and is actively involved with the Congress for the New Urbanism.

As a frequent speaker on civic innovation and urban issues, we are proud to welcome his as our speaker for the April PRSA Memphis luncheon.
