Achieving Diversity Goals by Countering Bias

There’s increasing acceptance that a diverse public relations profession is essential in connecting with wide audiences, driving creativity, innovation and building more effective teams.  A first step in achieving diversity goals is to challenge our own unconscious biases. Otherwise there is a risk of inadvertently missing out on the benefit of broad life experiences that bring fresh ideas and new approaches to communication and problem-solving.

What are some best practices to counter unconscious bias, become more diverse and inclusive organizations and achieve more effective communications in the process?

Join us Thursday, August 9 for the PRSA Memphis annual diversity luncheon when a corporate D&I manager, an in-house communications leader, a non-profit representative, and an agency executive help navigate this crucial topic.
